Spring on Crete will be in full blossom in the beginning of April. With average noon temperature at 19°C and 12°C at night, and with a 25% chance for rain, it is a wonderful period for hiking.

The hotel:
The conference will take place at the the Kalimera Kriti Hotel. Some images form the hotel are below. An electronic brochure can be found here. The hotel has all the usual features, including a very nice lecture hall. It is located directly on the beach, about one hour travel East of Heraklion. The more adventurous will bathe in sea temperatures of 16-17°C, for the faint-hearted the hotel has a heated indoor swimming pool.
